Not Me Mondays!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week by clicking on her name.
As for me...

This week I was a perfect wife, mother, and friend and did NOT do any of these things...

I did not let my kids stay in there pjs for almost two solid days because we were not leaving the house after three weeks of next to never being home. Nope, not me.

I most certainly did not spend at least 3/4 of those two days doing nothing productive. I would never be so lazy.

I am not actually already buying tons of winter and fall clothes for my kids when its not even July yet and is 103 degrees out! I love fashion, but I am not that crazy, right?

I did not explode at my husband over something as stupid as him playing too many video games. I am a sweet and fun wife that likes for her husband to have fun.

I did not let my (almost) 9 month old baby have a sugary popsicle to teethe on. It was 103 degrees out and treats to cool down are always nice, but she too young for that. So, that was not me.

Here are some things that I "did not" do this week:

I did not let my four year old have ice cream for dinner early last week. And I really did not try to justify it because it had peanut butter, so at least he got some protein!? Nope, not me.

I did not take a day that my husband to off work to hang out with our family and sleep until noon. I would never sleep away half of a family day. Nope, not me!

*I'm a little short on time today, maybe I can come back and add more later. Not that I would have many more. Seeing as how I am perfect and all.

Fun with Photo Editing!

I'm still learning, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I think this one is so odd becuase Dylan's eyes are SO BLUE in person. I don't know if it was the lighting or what, but they came out green in the photo. My mom has hazel eyes that change from blue to green with what she is wearing, so maybe Dylan does too?
I must say, I'm a little proud of this one.

I think this one is fun too.

Soccer and a Picnic

Daniel had the day off last Tuesday, so we took the kids to the park. He and Dylan playing soccer while London and I cheered them on from underneath a shady tree. It was such a nice day. All four of us really enjoyed getting to spend time outside getting fresh air and having some family time.

I thoughtfully packed a nutritious and healthy stopped at subway and got sandwiches for lunch. Dylan thought that the subway was much cooler than mom's 'ole cooking anyways. I didn't bring a big enough blanket though. Oh well, I'll know that blanket doesn't work for picnics the next time. In my head it was just much bigger though. Plus, I thought it would so cute for a picnic with all the bugs and what not on it (I know.. I'm silly).

And just for a laugh, check out these silly faces. I would love to know the thought behind London's expression! LOL!

Laugh Out Loud.

My four and a half year old (please don't leave out the half part, he gets very upset about that) is one of the jolliest people I have ever known. From day one he has been extreemly happy go lucky. Infact, he is so darn sweet and happy all the time that I was REALLY worried that I was doomed to have a grumpy baby next. I am SO happy to report to you, however, that she is as sweet as pie. Lucky, I know. Or Blessed. Either way. I have to happy babes. Dylan is my little giggle box though.

Lots of things make Dylan laugh.

Actually, most anything make him laugh.

My mom said to him today that she wished she could share some of his joy with the world.

*Sigh* If only!

It sure would make the world a much happier place.

I know I wish that I always looked at the bright side of life.

Sadly, as an adult sometimes life feels too dark to find much brightness in.

And then, I hear Dylan's laugh.

Sunshine.

He is my little ray of happiness.

How lucky am I to have him?

Super Lucky.

If I could, I would ship him to everyone who needed a smile for a day.

I actually wouldn't.

I would miss him far too much.

And I would miss his laugh.

Even for just one day.

Because he laughs every single day.

And he makes me laugh every single day.

Actually, he makes most everyone that meets him laugh.

*SMILE* I really love this kid.

Howdie!, Hello!, Hi!

I'm Carla. Nice to meet 'chya. After some (okay, a lot) of stalking lurking around a few popular bogs, I have decided to wet my feet and starting blogging myself. I actually have been a member of blogger for a couple of years, but my family blog is really just pictures of my kids for our family that is out of state.

A little bit about me...

Well, you already know that my name is Carla. I am married to a super hot video game programmer, Daniel and we have two beautiful babes, Dylan and London. Dylan is four and a half (and if you ask him, that half is VERY important to add) and London is eight months. Those three people are the loves of my life.

I have the pleasure and blessing of being able to stay at home with my children. It is a job that I love, but that is not the easiest either (I'm sure lots of you know about that). I treasure every second of my children being young, because I know it flies by all too quickly. Dylan only has one more year of staying home with me before I have to send him off to school full time. He does already attend a preschool that meets a couple times a week, but that's not at all the same.

I am a very passionate person. If I do something, its usually full heartily done. I love fashion of most kinds, but especially dressing my kids. I also love art (though I am a newbie to say the least in the art world), photography (again, a newbie at doing it but a long time lover), cooking, cleaning, most things "artsy", and though I don't get to do much of it for now, traveling.

I am still young and have a lot to learn about life, but am enjoying finding my way with my beautiful family at my side. I can't wait to share more of our journey with you.
